Deniz Seval is a PhD Researcher at the University of Ottawa in Canada. Her doctoral studies focus on the interplay between law and technology from a feminist perspective. It includes regulation and ethics, what values privacy law protects, what the law should protect, how technology affects privacy and the legal issues that arise from and are affected by new or emerging technologies. She is also interested in cyberfeminism, and her work aims to shed light on the complex interplay of cyberfeminism, technology law, and privacy law and to promote gender equality and justice in the digital age. Currently, she is conducting her doctoral research and advising technology start-ups freelance. In addition, Deniz is a science-fiction geek, so she is also an editor at the Digital Constitutionalist for the Science Fiction section.
